This is a link to a mock video of a star wars meets office space spoof. It's freaking hilarious!!!
Also I'm going to vent a little here. I don't, like most of you, get HBO. I, like most of you, don't get showtime. So, with the aid of BT and my ADSL connection I download my favorite series (I think I might have talked about this before). Anyhow, last night I got an email from my isp telling me that they were going to cut off my connection (unless I contacted them "immediately") because I went over my 6 gig limit (remember, three computers are connected so it's not just me). Anyhow... for every gig over 6 it's an additional $10. Shit.

Nothing for the next 4 years will get done.
Well, we have a minority government. great. It's not that bad I guess, better then the other options, but minority government usually don't get a whole hell of a lot accomplished. The one thing that I'm hoping will occur is electoral reform as a result of the election results. Perhaps we can get two votes, one for the PM and the other for the MP. Another option is ranking the votes. I sincerely think that we should start looking at the systems in countries in Australia and New Zealand. I may have said all this before, but it still stands.
I work tonight and again tomorrow, then a three day weekend!
I'm really getting pissed off with ADSL and think I'm going to switch to cable.
I also really want to see Fahrenheit 9/11 but I know it won't come to our theatre for a while. I'd like to BT it, but the file is too large and we have download limits.
I'm BTing last nights QAF right now. I think that I'm more addicted to QAF then SFU this season. This season of SFU isn't as good as the others and QAF is really keeping it interesting.
In other news. Britney is pulling a Celine/Shania/Sarah and is quitting show biz to raise a family.... perhaps. You never really can trust the Irish news
That's all for now.

I've created somewhat of a drama
Someone in the comments, some anonymous one, said, "Static conditions don't excuse dying your eyebrows. Fuck fuck fuck."
All this hair talk gets me to thinking. What is acceptable (socially... I mean, people do everything... I mean acceptable in 'polite society') to do, or not do, to hair. Eg. boys and/or girls shaving the pubic area, and how much? What about the buttocks? Chest and nipple hair? Arm pit hair (particularly on guys)? Is it uncouth (spelling?) to die your pubes green and have "keep off the grass" written above? Tell me what you think; post anonymously if you want, or if you aren't secure enough in your opinions to publish your name.
I'm off to read and then (than, I never know... what's the rule again?) to sleep. I'm currently reading "A Brave New World," by Aldous Huxley. I've tried beford but I'm aFreud I just couldn't get into it. :)

First of all, I don't need an excuse, they are my eyebrows and I can do what I want with/to them.
Second, it's not an excuse, it's a reason. I shakes things up a little and no one gets hurt.
Third, how did you decide on three 'fuck's? I mean really, two not enough. What merits three? What would it have had to have been to merit four or five?
Lastly, I think/hope that the people from FSJ understand a little more where I'm coming from. Things are boring here! Hell, if it weren't for the big bump on the back of my head I wouldn't have a second thought about shaving it all off (the hair I mean) and starting a cult.

much to do about nothing...
I've been quite busy and hence I haven't posed in a while. I'm now going to commence in telling you everything (minus the "me" time;) ).
Firstly, I'm creating a presentation with iMovie (ahh glorious iMovie) for my Grandmother's 75th birthday. It's a BIG project. So far from three people I have over 323 pictures (324 to be exact), and I still have to get pictures from at least three more people. The 324 are already scanned and resized and all that good stuff. Once I have all the pictures from the last 75 years of her life I have to decide which to keep and with to burn (with either kerosene or high octane gas). After that's all done if have to organize them into some kind of fluent order. The other order is music, music that she'll like, that the rest of the people watching (we're having a big party and showing it there) will like, and that will somehow fit. After I put it all together and have all the zooming in on the pictures and transitions and so on, I'm going to create DVD's out of the presentation and give them to the family. The problem arises when you try and please everyone. This is a source of my frustration.
Second, I had volunteered to DJ my cousins grade seven grade. Turns out I got booked for work.... so coming though for them sill I created a number of CD's of music that can be played. Also time consuming.
Fourth, work. Today I worked from 8:30 till 5:00 and tomorrow I work AT 5:00 and finish at 1:30. That's 24 hours between shifts and hence I'm staying up.
Fifth, helping the bro with the suit selection for the wedding. Really not that time consuming except for the fitting and then trying to fit everything else in around that.
Sixth, and possibly the biggest in the long run. I'm back with the band. Every summer for the last 9 years I've played with a rock band and that means practicing. A lot. This year it's a little different as we're not playing rock. This year we've added a sax and have a kind of blues/jazz/indie/acid/satanic/hebrew/folk/alternative/crazy kind of sound, if that's a genre. We're going to play in the park, at a festival, and at a coffee shop (so far... and hopefully). We don't have a permanent band name yet and that's where you come in (hence leave a comment with your idea(s)... all ideas are in the public domain and you will not receive monetary compensation if your idea is used, just the honour) . We need, need, need a band name, otherwise we can't register for festivals and so on. Our temporary name is "The Resurrect Christ Foundation."
Seventh, getting ready to vote. I was told yesterday by an uncle that gay people have a problem in the head (and that apparently it can be cured with pills and therapy). I guess he's voting conservative. I on the other hand, I am voting my conscious, Never Dream Partly. I was also thinking... why can't my (and your) vote count twice? Why can't my single vote be counted at the federal level as well as the local level. The NDP might only get a couple of seats but could get 30% of the vote. It's time to restructure Canada's electoral system, perhaps two votes? One for the MP and one for the PM. It's time to start looking at New Zealand's and Australia's systems.
Anyhow... I'm off to read then sleep. Remeber to vote today!!!

Here are two more articles that have recently been in the local papers. The headlines basically crack me up. I'm not sure if the paper has an editor or what, but if so, they might want to be a little more thorough. (I know I really shouldn't talk as my editing is for shit, but I don't sell my blog).

now, the reasoning
Things in Fort St. John have been and are, for the most part, static. It's always, always, always, the same. I thought that I'd shake things up a little if for nothing more then the scared looks I can now illicit from small children and the elderly with the simple furl of my eyebrows.
Why not? Eyebrows, like all hair, grow back. In fact, the eyebrows grow back very quickly, aprox. 6 weeks. But that doesn't matter either. I can dye them back with no problem and the hair on my head is no exception. I had to do something to break the monotony. It comes down to boredom. It's not like I have to impress anyone in FSJ and change is good. I just needed to be a little crazy and because I can't wear jewelry on the job, a piercing was out (that and the shear dread of needles).
The other thing is that now that it's blond I can go to any other colour with relative ease. I was thinking of adding black to the tips... what do you think? I think I'd look like a jaguar. The head hair really isn't the bad, and the eyebrows are.... different. Tonnes of people die their hair blond, but how many die their eyebrows too? It's different and unique. I'm going to start a trend.
The big day, my bro and m's wedding, is less then two months away so I will be dying it back, or at least to something less abrasive.
I was trying to figure out who I looked like and then I figured it out. The psycho off of contact. I can't find a picture, but he's the minister who sabotages the first machine.
I missed another addiction. QAF , which I missed tonight because of bloody work. Thank omniscient being for BT.
Anyhow, keep the comments coming (i love them and I appreciate honest) and try, just try, to add a positive spin. I've never seen fuck so many times in my comments. Nor have a had so many comments. (I guess I could blame the hair on the on the blog... I did it for the blottention)

Confessions of a dangerous kind.
This blog has been a real release for me and I feel very comfortable, for some strange yet glorious reason, baring myself on it. So here it is.....
I have an addiction. It's the truth and I feel that I should be as upfront and honest about it as possible. It is nothing to be ashamed of, as I'm beginning to understand that with time.
It's called SFU. It's only available 13 times a year and only on Sundays. SFU has only been on the market for three years, June marked the be beginning of it's fourth. It's created by a company called HBO and it's wonderful. SFU can make you cry and smile and everything in between and all on just one hit. It's truly a wonder. Because I'm just getting in to it, I was able to get my hands on more from the last three years from my dealer but have used up my supply already, now I have to wait in patience for every Sunday... but only 13 a year. No one knows how long it will be around until it's pulled off the market but I'm hoping it'll be around a long time. If you can, get some, you'll thank me. Warning: it is habit forming!
If you think that I'm talking about TV, you're wrong. It's not TV, it's HBO.
To get more information check out this site.
Wade
P.S. other things to check out are CYE and SV
P.P.S. coming soon... the side affect that SFU has on hair. Not really... but I have to keep this charade going.

I'm tired, but it's a good day. [update]
I got productive last night. I finally paid off all my bills. I don't owe anyone anything and it's a good, no great, feeling. My account is very low now but that's okay, it's money I didn't really have anyhow. Now I have to start rebuilding....
It's too early in the morning... I'm off to work and I'm really tired.
My day went down hill. After work I stopped by a friends house only to find out that his sister was killed (literally, a homicide). It's a bit of a depressing day.
In a couple of hours I'm going to see a dance recital; should be invigorating (slight tone of sarcasm...).

I have GMAIL!!!!
Thank you so much Casey. I've been asking around the internet for an invite and now I've got both an invite and an account. Sweet!!!
I'm hoping that gmail will eventually have pop access... then I'll be a very happy camper.
gmail, by the way, is the free email service offered by google. It is currently in beta testing and you can only get an account by invite. The catch is that you get 1000megs of storage, as opposed to the 2-5 offered by other services.

On the political front and more....
Here's a great blog entry that I found regarding the national leadership debate.
Get political, get signed up and vote. Next issue.
Fort St. John's paper is a shit rag. The front page had an article detailing the new prices of Tim Horton's coffee. You're kidding right!!! That's the most exciting thing, the biggest news in Fort St. John, is that the price of coffee is going up and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. It's got first hand accounts and people reactions and everything... it's hilarious. I'll take a picture of the front page in good time and perhaps I'll transcribe the story. The front page!!!!
What's the correlation? There's a national election coming up that will determine at least the next 4 years. Why is the price of Tim Horton's coffee at all, in the least, important?

Technology is changing the face of weddings....
This is the website for my brother and michelles wedding. I'm really glad they're embracing the blog of technology. It's not a new site either, it's been up for a while, Bryce just did some reno's and changed the comments section. I thought I'd share. Oh, and if you know anything about polkas or waltzes it would be nice if you could recommend some songs. We don't need anymore country as far as I know. What would be really nice is if anyone knows the song that the butterfly is danced to.

Fogg n Triathlon Pics
Here's something of relative interest.
I created an awards template for one of the schools in town, I was delivering it, and teaching the secretary how to use it. Just as I was wrapping up in the office one of the teachers came in with a severe migraine... They needed a teacher for the afternoon to take her place and as the afternoon was quickly approaching they asked if I could do it. "Sure" I said, what grade? Kindergarden.
So, this afternoon I taught kindergarden and it was quite the experience. The first thing one boy said to me was, "I'm a boy you know!" I replied, "so it seams." Another enjoyable quip occurred after I asked if there were any questions, when one girl, with her hand up, said "my brother is a leprechaun." It was wried, kids are crazy. I also got to see the embodiment of severe ADHD in a little girl. Interesting.
Here are the picture from the last couple of days. Enjoy crew.

To expound on a comment.
V left a question, "Any more apprearances of the "Left-Breast Bandit?" lol," and I think that it's high time I answered it. Here's the story.
Some lady was walking about town in a relatively unique fashion. She had really shabby clothes on, messy hair, and a singe breast being bared out of her shirt. My mother was talking about it as she had heard about it at the school. My brother talked about it too as he'd heard about it too somewhere or other. Then, one day I was driving to work and saw the police and this lady hanging out by the window talking to the officers, she was left hanging out and all (if you get the pun).
To answer the question, no I haven't seen or heard about her since my trip to Edmonton.
Blog to come....

Something that is almost hard to believe.
I didn't take pictures, which I should have, but today I saw something that made me laugh rather hard. I had only had 3 and a half hours of sleep but i still think it's really funny... not delirium, but perhaps I'm wrong. Everything was set up, the stage and all; the wheel chair inaccessible stage and all. For what? Rick Hanson's "Wheels in Motion." It's like saying, here, something that you can't get on without the help others. On top that, off the entrainment was... wait for it... belly dancers ! An event that says, "just because you're in a wheelchair, it doesn't mean that you can't do anything that any able body person can do," has belly dancers for the entertainment. I hope it doesn't sound insensitive, I just thought it was funny.
The rest of my day... I love my iPod!!! I was the DJ/MC for a triathlon. I had worked until 2:30, got to bed by 3:30 and was up by 7. It was a good time. The best thing was that I had an entire library of music in a device the size of a deck of cards. They would ask, do you have _________, and I'd say, sure do (or nope... one of the two). Anyhow, I was really happy that such a device could provide such joy... perhaps I'm being melodramatic. If you don't have one yet, it's time to jump on the band wagon. NOW!!!
I then when to bed. I work tomorrow.

Trixtures from the Pip
Here is a link to my UAlberta account with 168 pictures from 7 days for you to peruse. There are over 30 megs of pictures. If you like one a whole bunch just ask and you shall receive (the full quality image).
Look, enjoy, have fun!

P.S. I didn't edit the pictures or, for that matter, even look at them. There may be some redundancy and possibly some that are some what offensive to some sensitive eyes. Also, they won't be up forever as they take too much room up. If you want one, or ten, copy it/them now!

Ray Charles dies at 73
"Ray Charles, the Grammy-winning crooner who blended gospel and blues in such crowd-pleasers as "What'd I Say" and heartfelt ballads like "Georgia on My Mind," died Thursday, a spokesman said. He was 73."
I do enjoy his music and I frankly won't ever forget the Pepsi commercials he was in. So, here's a big "un huh" to the memory of Ray.

A tonne of news to share,
I had a wonderful week, and many of you know nothing of it yet because I've been so busy that I haven't been able to post. The time isn't now either. I'm tired and really need to sleep, but I'll share with you a couple of things.
First, thank you!!! To all of you who shared your time with me, thank you; you helped me have one of the best weeks of my life.
Second, Fork St. John is north of Dawson Creek, not south.
More to come. Yep for sure.

So much to talk about...
Well not really but I do have some important things to say.
Firstly, I've got the new office for Mac (Office for Mac 2004) and because my ualberta account will soon expire I will be changing to a ualberta.net account (look for that email in the future). Because that forwards to a hotmail account I have to change from an Apple app to a Microsoft one as Hotmail is Microsoft so therefore supported.
Second, I'm coming back!!!!!! I don't remember being so excited for anything in a long time. I'll be leaving FSJ Thursday morning and I even have a schedule to share with you.
Well that's about it. I have to phone around to all the guitar shops in Edmonton to check out prices to have a pick up added to my father's guitar. Weee.
I'll see many of you very soon!
